My favourite people

Love these two!! They ground me. They calm me...they also stress me ;-) but mainly they calm me!! Thanks to my sister for the lovely photos!!

Social Sunday

Grace got to play with her friend Emma today. On the drive home I stopped at the lights and looked back at her. I pulled over and took four quick pictures as she dozed off. Very cute.

Flowers Flowers Everywhere!!

Flowers from Mum and Dad and one of the agencies I work with. So lovely. It's wonderfully exciting to share our engagement news. Wedding won't be till Sept 2016 so lots of time to just enjoy being engaged and not get overwhelmed with planning and the cost of things!! I'm happy.

Ah memories.

You know you are wishing you were cool enough to rock hair like this!!

Smile.

The wonderful thing about Tiggers, is I'm the only one!!

So something pretty awesome happened last night...

Chad and I got engaged! Chad planned a very romantic evening with dinner, watching the sunset, a personalised lock for Auckland's "love lock" wharf and then a proposal. Evening was topped off with the Ed Sheeran concert. Chad got me a "wilshi" ring and together we'll choose an engagement ring over the coming weeks. I'm so happy. Being engaged doesn't change a thing about our relationship but the symbolism means so much. It's that outward sign of our commitment and love. It's a shout to the world that we are in this through thick and thin. Thank you Chad for a beautiful evening and for loving me as strongly as I love you.

Sadly, this photo is not staged.

Stupid child proofing.

If she can get through this lot we are screwed.

$90 later we are ready to childproof the house!

Business at the front..party at the back...

My mum's gonna hate it!!

I judge when a photo was taken by what is going on with Grace's hair.

I miss the spikey look she had at month one and the lego man perfect hair she had from months three through eight.  But the curls she has now are pretty adorable although there is some full on cowlick action going on some days.

Easter 2015

Time away

It was so nice spending the afternoon and night at the Tongariro Chateau with Chad. With Grace safe in the hands of her Granny, we relaxed and enjoyed time together in the opulence of the 1920s building. Sleeping in the next morning was a great treat but must admit we both missed our girl a lot.  Was wonderful coming home again to see her smiles!!

Another Lovely Day

Started the day early with kids squealing as they found hidden eggs. Even Gracie joined in! Day finishing at The Tongariro Chateau enjoying the good life with a very lovely man.

There is something about Taupo at Easter.

Summer is great but I love Easter. The cool crisp air, the family gathered together, seeing old friends at the Saturday market and of course chocolate! I love that I can share all this with Chad and Grace. Grace is certainly getting into the Easter spirit and loving seeing her cousins. Happy days.
