After 40 years of solid service, we must say goodbye to our garage door opener. Dad got it from Sears in America back when he worked for Air Nz. Its been on the wall on two houses I grew up in and is such a familiar object to me. As it can no longer be repaired, we are getting a replacement but in my current fragile state, I'm sad about the 'loss'. The anxious brain is a strange thing, triggered by the slightest thing. The doctor I saw last week said something interesting. He said that I need to focus on the things that are my future, and let go of the past. So goodbye faithful opener. We thank you for your service. I'm okay with moving on..... but I'm keeping the box that went on the wall as I'm super sentimental ;-)
