Broken Arm

Last week we had Chad's family over for dinner. Grace and the twins were playing in the garden when I heard a scream and yelling. I lept up and ran down the stairs to find Grace screaming and lying on the ground outside the trampoline. We got her standing and she was cradling her arm. As everyone crowded around, I took her to our room and Chad made sure we had space. She settled and said her aim was really hurting. I knew we had to go to A&E and so Chad farewelled everyone and we hoped in the car and raced to the local centre. It was 7.45 and the centre stops accepting patients at 8pm so we were happy to get in before the cut-off. Unfortunately, the X Ray office had closed early so we had no choice but to go to Middlemore. Took until midnight to get the cast on, a long time for a wee girl in pain. I was so glad I had the foresight to grab some pamol to give her as we went into Middlemore so the pain had eased a bit. Grace was amazing, she teared up at times but was so brave an...

Crying in my car

Today I had to leave the office to cry. So much going on and I am just exhausted. When I recovered I went for a coffee and feel better now. I'm run down and anxiety is shadowing me everywhere I go, It will pass. Just need to lean on my wonderful support network and ride thing sout.
I hate this time of year. Birthdays and then Christmas. I hate holidays as your brain is supposed to rest and mine needs to be active to cope. I am trying so hard to be fine and in reality, I am crumbling. Going to try to do more exercise as I am feeling so down about everything and that can help. It's just so hard.

Anxiety really bad at the moment

No real reason behind it but I have a daily battle to get up and get to work, to be normal and happy and chatty.  The busier I keep my mind the easier it is not to wonder into unhelpful thoughts but it is hard. On top of that, Grace didn't get to the toilet in time and had a huge accident on the couch. Our couch is leather and the cushions can't be removed, so it is going to be so hard to clean. She didn't tell us about it until yesterday when it started to smell.  When I saw the couch was wet on the weekend I assumed it was because Truffle (soaked from a  walk in the rain) and been sitting on it.  Grace has always left going to the toilet to the last minute, especially when she is watching TV or playing a computer game. It is all just so frustrating and trying to get urine out of a leather couch will be impossible! Ugh! Anyway, another day. I know this will pass, just need to stay positive and focus on my blessings.
