Wedding reception venues -the search begins!!

Today we looked at a couple of places for our wedding. I hate the idea of spending too much money but equally I want nice food and a nice atmosphere. So add that together and you need to compromise. One venue today looked hopeful, not my ideal but it does fit in the budget. Luckily we have time to think and plan, there will be a solution!! Gracie was very patient today and did lots of smiling and waving at people. She was very cute at a cafe where we had lunch, making faces and chatting. Happy wee girl. Day off tomorrow. Yay!!

Maths

Two adults Plus one baby Plus one 25kg dog In a queen sized bed All night Equals one of those parties having a shitty night's sleep.

First world problems

Today at work the biscuit jars are stocked with my two favourite biscuits. Wedding diet gonna be hard to stick to today. Sigh. The struggles with working for a snack food company...

Even covered in marmite, I love her so much my heart hurts.

Rainy day

We woke to pouring rain and headed off to swimming. Gracie was excited to see her uncle, 2 cousins and Granny had come to watch. She did really well and even put her head under. We had lunch together in the cafe next to swimming where they ADORE Gracie and give her free fluffies and marshmallows. Her cousins came home with us for an afternoon of fun on the xbox and in the ball pit. Grace loves her cousins so much. A lovely day.

Grocery shopping

Hang on, it's gonna be a bumpy ride !!

Busy Saturday

I'm still in the midst of my cold and Gracie is recovering from hers so we've had a quiet  day. I've been doing some work and Chad has been cleaning the garage and Grace, well Grace has been busy too.....as you can see.

It's better when it's fried.

Today I had fried sushi. I didn't mean too. I was selecting my sushi, trying to get new ones, and came across a sushi roll that looked a bit different. Got back to the office and discovered it was fried...and it was delicious!! I know it's wrong to deep fry sushi but lord it tasted so good and made you delude yourself that it was healthy.

Looking back

I wrote the letter below when I was five weeks pregnant. And here we are now, celebrating my second mother's day. Time flies. Each day holds more surprises, more smiles and at times more tears! I'm now getting a glimpse into how my Mum feels. Boy it's hard to love so hard that you want to protect your child from everything and yet be brave enough to let them grow. Love being your mum Grace. And to my own Mum - I love being your daughter. 26th May 2013 Dear Baby, Starting to get used to being pregnant. I know I have a long way to go, but I am getting excited about the journey ahead and all that it will bring. Today your Dad and I bought your first outfit. We were so excited walking into Pumpkin Patch, hand in hand, realising that we were buying something that you will be wearing in eight months. Next week we have a doctor's appointment and we will talk about how to manage my blood pressure over the pregnancy and what medications I can take. Some hard decisions ahead as I...

First splinter.

Splinter removed. Plaster applied. Emotionally scaring for everyone.

The many moods of a 16 month old.

Define a "special occasion"

My Mum and Dad bought us a lovely dinner set as an engagement present. I've been enjoying a coffee this afternoon in the pretty cups as Chad and I have agreed we are not going to hide the dinner set away and only bring it out twice a year. We want to use it,enjoy it,think about who gave it to us and why. Special occasions can be daily if you choose them to be.

Breaking News: Grace discovered she has a belly button.

We are all shocked at the discovery but learning to cope.
