Nailing a practice run up the aisle. You got this Grace!!

Proud Mama!!

I am so proud of Grace. We started swimming lessons when she was six months old. It has been a bit of a hard slog, but I must admit, I loved our cuddles in the pool. Now she is in the pool by herself, and today earnt her first sticker! I was so proud watching her listening to instructions and doing her best. Well done Grace.

At last!!

Finally, after thirty odd years, I get to play with my sister's Peaches and Cream Barbie. #goodthingstaketime #worththewait

Game Face

Grace takes on line poker very seriously.

Yawn

Oh my lord above Chad and I have reached new levels of tiredness. Weeks of broken sleep. Add to that some long hours at work, Gracie doing her part days at daycare and Chad about to start a new job....oh and did I mention a wedding to prepare for!! Life is great, it's just full on!! I just need it to slow down a bit so I can linger in more moments.

Girl's Day

Today Grace and I hung out while Chad was at cricket. We went to the mall, ate gingerbread men, did our grocery shop then came home to play with play dough, stickers, Lego and Barbies. I love these days. Just us being silly. Walking through the mall, I felt so proud of my sweet girl walking and chatting beside me. We sang songs at the super market and did 360s with the trolley in the aisles. She squealed with delight and made me smile. Happy.

Purr

Love you Penzance. 16 years of cuddles.

My " eat your dinner" face

What a week!!

End of an exhausting week. Sick Grace, so lack of sleep, plus so issues with projects my team is working on at work and then Friday one of my team resigned. Thrilled about the opportunity for her, but gutted that I have to start recruitment right in the middle of a massive project! It will all be fine, these things always work out. I am more resilient to the pressures of work than I was in my youth!! And of course two months to the wedding!! Eeek. Feels like lots to do but I know we'll get there, just need to stay calm and rested and check through my lists. Right, now to make up the wedding favours!

Sick child

She may be small but boy that kid can hold a heap of vomit. Poor sweetheart up all night. Washing machine busy today. To her credit, after the shock of being sick multiple times she still was in good spirits and expressed herself really well when she talked about how she was feeling. I'm now battling through a day at work with little sleep and poor Chad left to navigate what today holds. Hope she feels better soon. I had the same vomiting bug on Friday night and it passed after 12 hours so hoping the same for her.

Steam trains and independance

Our weekend of independence continues! First two nights with Geeze and Papa, then a solo swim and now riding a train by herself! We took Grace to see some steam trains and she loved it! Her confidence was amazing and she had no issues hopping on with her cousins for a few laps. You rock Grace. I love seeing you stretch yourself. 💕

Milestone Alert! First Solo Swim!!

Oh wow, Gracie went into the pool by herself!! I was so prepared to hop in with her if she needed me that I wore my togs just in case! But Chad held me back and our big girl bravely climbed in and navigated through the whole lesson without any tears. I could see she was a wee bit stressed, she did her nervous laugh and offered the teacher long explanations for why she shouldn't have to put her face under. But that's okay, the point is she survived it, and so did I. Next milestone is daycare! Eeek!
