Morning tea with Dad

Grace was lucky enough to be taken out for morning tea with her Dad. She had her favourite, a "ginger man" and a got these cute pics sent to me. My day on the other hand was tiring and I happy to be home. Kinda counting down for the next long weekend.

Sickness and cuddles

Cold season has started in our house. Never have you seen such a sad little girl. Mind you the plus side for me is loads of cuddles with my girl. Makes me feel like a "real mum" when I can be her source of comfort. With me being off at work, I tend to normally be seen as a cuddle option if Dad is busy, and then only grudgingly. But right now I'm a viable option for snuggles. Hate seeing you sick my girl but glad you know you can call on me when you are.

Tidying

I decide to sort through Grace's toys and pack the baby ones away and spilt the remaining ones between upstairs and her bedroom. My aim was reduce the toy invasion that has been happening in our lounge but Grace has a very different view on the situation. So far she has unpacked ALL the toys and is very keen to keep them all up here. So much for her poor OCD mum's efforts at creating some order. Pass me the wine.

Loud

Like many kiddies, Grace is not a fan of loud noises. So with Chad doing some sanding with the electric sander, we were prepared. Once Chad was done, Grace insisted on both of us keeping wearing the ear muffs. On the plus side, its been a very peaceful afternoon.

Wedding planning

So the chapel is booked, reception venue booked and photographer locked in. All the big stuff is sorted!! Now to get on to the finer, but tricker, details of dresses, suits, decorations and flowers. Oh and cake! That's very important. The big day is still 11 months away but its nice to pace out the planning and I like the process of researching things. I'm gonna be a bride!! Squeal!!!

Potential new favourite show!

Just saw a commercial for a new show. Called "Treetop Cat Rescue" on the Animal Planet channel, it sounds like it has so many layers of awesome that I am way more excited then I should be. It features a couple guys who rescue cats from trees. From the web site: Every day in Western Washington State, wily felines scale massive trees only to find themselves stranded high off the ground. Skilled tree climbers Shaun Sears and Tom Otto are prepared to do whatever it takes to get these cats down and reunite them with their owners. OMG it sounds sooooo cool!!

Stationery and OCD heaven

My idea of heaven. Actually it would be even better if I'd lined up all the logos too.

Saying goodbye

After 15 years of wonderful companionship, today my friend knew it was time to say goodbye to her beloved pet. I was privileged to be able to be there to support her. There were tears and laughter. Sharing of stories and sharing in grief. Goodbye sweet Molly. We miss you. Thank you for being part of our lives.

How do you eat spaghetti?

She then put it all back in the bowl and said "All done!".  Sigh.
