I tell this story on behalf of a colleague.
She had an important meeting with the CEO of our company and one of our direct bosses - in other words, two pretty senior dudes.
The meeting was out of the office and involved some other people. It was serious stuff.
It was about 20 min into the meeting that she realised that she had left a sandwich in the toasted sandwich machine at work.
She spend the rest of the meeting worrying about the sandwich.
On the taxi ride back, she had visions of the 12th floor being burnt out and her colleagues running from the building screaming about the smell of burnt cheese.
The sandwich was fine (albeit burnt and stone cold by the time she did get back - some kind soul had removed it from the toasted sandwich maker).
The building had not burnt down.
I found the whole story pretty darn amusing.
