So I'm driving home, my mind on 29,000 different things and I reach a point in my journey where traffic usually backs up. Ahead, just round a bend in the road, there is an intersection where the road spilts into two lanes, with only the left lane going straight ahead.
I slow down behind a car in front of me, moving over to the left side of the road in what I assume is the start of the queue to go straight at the intersection. I wait patiently for the queue to move. Cars pass me on the right, heading into the other lane that turns right.
After about 5 mins, I realise an awful lot of cars are going past me. A huge amount, way more than normally ever turn right. I can't see ahead far enough to see what the hold up is in my lane.
It's then I realise I'm actually not in a queue at all. I'm behind four parked cars.
Worse still, I've created a queue behind me of other drivers who assumed that I was part of a queue leading up to the intersection.
I think I need a holiday.
