I take most of my medicaion at night but there is one set I take in the morning. The hard part is remembering. While I have an alarm, the nature of lockdown and change of routine means I have missed a couple of mornings, and about four days later I pay the price. Back comes the panic and the stress. The good news is I am getting better at workign through the gut reactions, sense checking them and resetting, but it does take energy.
This weekend I had a win. I asked Grace to write a Christmas/Birthday list. While I tried to limit her to three websites(that I knew I could buy from) - she of course when off book and started googling. She discovered some Lego that she really wants - but it stopped being made in 2015!! So onto Trademe and into the world of preloved Lego - and amazingly I had success. Picked it up this weekend, the owner had made up the kit (to prove all the pieces were there) so when I got home I unassembled it (diaster for my nails!!)and sepearated it into bags so that Grace will be able to build it at Christmas - plus it over half the price of a new set! Success!!!!
I am so behind in my Christmas prep and really need to start. We also need to work through if we send Grace back to school if it opens next week. It is unlikely to be open daily for the kids and not about elarnign (more for the social aspect). But with cases blowing up, and it appearing in senior schools, Chad and I are on the fence. It is only about four weeks left, so not really a massive issue if she misses it (plus my work is not going to open until post Christmas so not an issue when it comes to who would stay home with her). We will see!
Grace has her desk in the family room, mainly due to space in her room but also to help her not lock herself away. She just finished tidying it and I love how it represents where she is at. Lots of art, Lego still displayed proudly, pillow on chair covering her phone ( she is still adhering to the no phone in her room rule, yay!), pottery on display. A beautiful blend of child and teenager!
